"Community Associations From 10,000 Feet (Not Literally!)—A Refresher On The Basics Of Managing A Community Association In Washington"
If you are new to managing community associations in Washington or if you are looking for a concise refresher on some of the fundamentals of managing and operating a community association in Washington, this is the workshop for you!
Community association attorney John Burleigh of Burleigh Law, PLLC will take us on a flyover of community association land where, from high above, you will get a refreshing reminder of some of the key basics regarding the communities you manage.
John will cover many topics including the various statutes and types of governing documents in place to govern community associations, budget ratification, effective enforcement, notice, voting and meeting requirements, and common pitfalls that community managers and Boards encounter. He will address questions like: Is a Declaration different from the CC&R’s? Do Bylaws get recorded? Does the Association need to amend the Declaration or will a revision to the Rules suffice?
This will be a fast-moving, action-packed time you are sure to enjoy. Seatbacks and traytables up as we’re ready for takeoff!
